Memorial Weekend 2012

Well, this weekend wasn’t what I was hoping for but it was still pretty good. I won’t go into details, but Hudson got his first fever Saturday afternoon while we were staying at my dad’s. I was of course worried, and Hudson was of course an unhappy boy. It got up to 101.6 degrees that night! By Monday he was almost back to normal. Due to that, we didn’t get to do everything I was hoping for. Regardless, it was still a nice weekend. Thank goodness Ellisa was a perfect little angel.

We managed to check out the Play for All Abilities Park in Round Rock (this was before Hudson got sick). This place is awesome! Then we jumped over to Little Red Wagon Hamburgers–looked like a hole in the wall–and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. This might have to be a frequent morning routine. The rest of the day Ellisa spent swinging at Papa’s and Hudson did a lot of digging in Papa’s sandbox.

Sunday we took it easy since Hudson was feeling pretty bad. In the afternoon we all got a bit antsy. Ellisa, Papa, Mary Ann, and I managed to sneak out to a local park in Sun City to walk a wilderness trail while Hudson and daddy had boy time looking at fish (Hudson’s most requested thing). Before we headed home for a good night’s sleep in our own beds, Papa made us an American Memorial Day dinner: hot dogs, corn on the cob, and watermelon. Yum!

Memorial day we spent lazing around the house: a walk with mommy in the morning, pool time in the afternoon (I forgot to take pictures). Yada yada yada. That’s all folks.

Elliisa in the Wildflowers is my favorite. Nice pics.
