A Full Friday: PT and Pickleball

Friday was a crazy busy day. It started out with a morning trip to Texas State University’s physical therapy department. Ellisa’s ex-PT asked if we would come in for her students to evaluate. I of course said yes. Anything I can do to persuade a student to go into pediatric physical therapy, I’ll do. Plus, it’s a good excuse to get out of the house and do something different with the kids. This was our last visit of two and the kids seemed to really enjoy themselves this time. They were a bit scared during the first visit with too many students hovering over them. This time, there was lots of playing and running around with just the right amount of students awing and oooing over them.

After that we heading north for Sun City where I dropped the kids off at Grandma’s and hopped over to the pickleball courts to watch the final rounds of the first Sun City Pickleball Tournament. Grandpa Walsh was playing so I had to go cheer him on! It was a gorgeous day and I had a great time talking with other spectators and watching some pickleball action.

After dinner, we headed back to Austin. The kids went to bed late after a quick visit with the bocce players (Matt, Beth, Jess, Emily, and Mark), and then Charles and I hung out with Gabe and Kristin for our regular game night.

Overall, it was just about a perfect day. I was beat!

Let the peanuts know your thoughts.
