Easter 2012

I was trying to remember what we did last year for the twins first Easter and when I reread the blog entry Easter 2011, I was shocked to read that we did almost the exact same thing this Easter.

We started off the day with some pickleball in Little Stacey Park. Courtney, Jess, Grandpa Walsh, and the Purma four, packed up our pickleball gear, the cage, toys, food, and drinks. We set the cage up next to the tennis courts so the kids could play without having to be watched every second. It worked out really well.

I watched the kids while the other four played the first game. Ellisa wanted to swing as usual, and Hudson ran around the park. It was cute watching him play with the older boys. Then my dad took a break and watched the kids in the cage. Then Courtney sat out and did the same. I think we only got three games in total before it was already 12:30. But it was worth it.

Then we hopped over to Phil’s Icehouse for a quick burger and beer. Ellisa fell asleep on the way, so I hung out with her while she napped in the car. Hudson played the whole time at their playscape. He practiced his jumping while we all laughed.

After the kids napped we headed to the back of our complex for a small Easter egg hunt. It was pretty cute. They actually understood that Animal Crackers were in the eggs. Hudson grabbed them up fast, ate the cookies, and threw the cracked egg behind him scanning the grounds for the next one. Ellisa wasn’t too excited about the hunt but joined in.

After the kids went to bed, Charles made a wonderful Easter dinner for us, Courtney, and Jess. A great day was had by all.

Happy Easter!
