Ellisa’s Homecoming Anniversary

I just realized that a year ago today, we brought Ellisa home from NICU. It was a relief. It was a joy. It was about time.

A year after being discharged, Ellisa is amazing us and everyone else with how much she has achieved against all odds. I look forward to watching my little girl grow into a rambunctious toddler the next year.

Here’s to Ellisa! A Little Bit that won’t give up.

Ellisa: A Year Later-December 1st, 2011**

*It’s hard to tell how small she was in this photo but check out the nose aspirator next to her for reference. We had to stuff blankets on her sides since she was too small for the car seat. I believe she weighed in just at 7 lbs when we brought her home.

**Weighing over 20 lbs Ellisa has more than quadrupled her birth weight in less than 15 months.

Yeah for Ellisa!! Such a beautiful inspiration!! I remember when the girls came home, we had to use the blankets, too. It’s amazing how quickly being at home can just make them blossom!

I forgot how tiny she was!

Let the peanuts know your thoughts.
